6th Grade Leadership Institute

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lee Elementary Sixth Grade Leadership Institute is to develop academic enrichment opportunities for our students that build 21st century leadership and social skills that will facilitate personal development in preparation for secondary school and beyond. In this capacity, our sixth grade leaders will act as mentors and role models to their fellow roadrunners by providing services to help the school function, influencing stakeholders, and by assisting younger members of the school. In addition, students will engage with the larger Austin community through service learning projects, volunteerism, and experiential learning opportunities.
